Conventional business education has traditionally focussed on delivery of technical knowledge. And of course technical knowledge is essential in all roles. However, we approach this differently by ensuring that students firstly have an experience that leads to a discovery. The 'discovery' moment creates the fertile ground for generative learning, and when we follow with explicit learning (the technical knowledge piece) it's most likely to stick, because it already means something to the student.
Our approach then encourages application of learnings into different contexts so as to be able to generalise the learnings across the spectrum of work scenarios. In summary, learning is not simply a body of knowledge, but rather a process. And setting up good learning processes translates to genuinely valuable long term investment.
